With spring coming I got a new idea… going to Ireland! I want to experience some new  places with picturesque views and breathtaking landscapes… surely somewhere on the British isles.

I have been working on designing the perfect adoption portfolio. The portfolio is very important since the birth mom actually chooses you based off of what she sees. 

I wanted to make something really special and different. I designed album covers made of raw walnut which will smell nice and hopefully stick in the birth mom’s mind. I had custom pages made to size and taught myself coptic binding which allows the pages to lay flat. It’s tied with a beautiful bow. 

I am really tickled at how nice it looks and can’t wait to fill the pages.

The portfolio is turned in to the Social Worker who then submits it to potential birth moms. When we are placed with our baby girl, the portfolio comes back to us as a memento/baby book which our future daughter can look at and keep for the rest of her life. It’s a great way for her to understand on what basis her birth mom choose us. 

I hope the birth mom thinks it is as beautiful as I do:)
